Gestalt

What happens after you get the key?
The lock was never the whole story.
Gestalt is the moment your hand meets the handle.
Where hypnosis helps you retrieve the key, Gestalt invites you into relationship with the door itself. With the weight of it. The grain of the wood. The resistance. The way it opens not by force, but by presence.
Gestalt is experiential awareness. It is the practice of noticing what is happening now, in your body, your emotions, your thoughts, your energy, your field. Not to analyze it to death, but to let it reveal itself. To allow what has been held in the realm of potential to become flow into form.
Rather than asking “Why am I this way?”, Gestalt gently asks, “What is here?” And in that honest noticing, something begins to shift. Old patterns loosen. Incomplete stories find their ending. What was once frozen begins to move again.
Gestalt is the experience of flowing back into yourself.
Horses are Master Teachers of Gestalt
Horses are masters of Gestalt. They live entirely in the present moment, responding to what is, not what should be. They read the subtle, the unspoken, the truth beneath the words. In their presence, there is no pretending. Only awareness, feedback, and invitation.
Together, Gestalt and the horses become a living doorway. One you don’t think your way through. One you feel your way into.
And when the door opens, it opens because you are ready to walk through it.
I facilitate your gestalt experience and serve as your connection to the spirit of equus — with the help of the wise herd and their allies at The Beer Ranch.

Experience Gestalt
Feel the Answer
You KNOW the answer — the trick is to find it — while outsmarting your past trauma, cultural programming, limiting beliefs, and unfinished business — and then BELIEVE it when you realize it. Gestalt offers you the space to experiment until you find what feels right and true for you.
Move the Energy
Energy can get stuck, become stagnant, and sometimes even reverse your course until you feel lost and unsure. Gestalt’s experiential style can guide you to access — or re-access — the right energy to meet whatever challenge is in front of you. The horses will provide instant feedback, helping you learn how to move your energy from stale to inspired.
Close the Loop
Life opens a lot of doors — and at some point, most of them close on their own. However, some get stuck open, leaving an opening for all manner of distractions to enter unfettered. Gestalt is a powerful way to gently close the doors you no longer need or want to have open, allowing you to reclaim your energy, thoughts, and safety.
Three things you should know about gestalt and Equine Gestalt.
Gestalt is experiential.
Gestalt is something you experience. The horses often become part of the experience, guiding you through feedback and energy. Sometimes, the experience takes the shape of a big ball or a hoola hoop or a walk in the woods — and sometimes it will be something you never thought would give you such a profound, lasting shift in your life! Each experience is unique because each person is unique.
Horses are co-gestaltists in your process.
In Equine Gestalt, horses are co-gestaltists with me — they are not tools and I don’t “use” them in “my” work with you. Through their participation and energy in your session, they offer their own wisdom to you.
Gestalt is embodied.
Gestalt is not talking — the whole goal is to get you out of your head and into your body. Your body is where truth lives — your mind may be able to talk you into or out of something; but you body feels the right answer if you give it a chance to show you.
