The Six Core Focuses of Your Training
Becoming a Hypnotist
Explore what hypnosis is, how it works, its history and major approaches, natural trance, ethics, safety, scope of practice, the hypnotic relationship, rapport, observation, calibration, client preparation, and outcome development.
Creating the Hypnotic State
Learn multiple ways of helping clients enter and deepen hypnotic experiences, including required foundational inductions as well as additional approaches that give you options for different people and situations.
Rather than simply memorizing inductions, you'll learn to understand the principles behind them so you can select and adapt your approach to the individual.
Communicating Hypnotically
Develop your ability to use suggestion, direct and indirect language, permissive communication, utilization, metaphor, sensory language, pacing and leading, voice, nonverbal communication, and other hypnotic language patterns.
You'll learn how to use scripts effectively without becoming dependent upon them.
Facilitating Change
Build a broad repertoire of professional hypnosis approaches for accessing resources, developing new behaviors, changing habits, strengthening self-image and confidence, working with internal conflict, future pacing, resolving past experiences, regression and reimprinting, Deep Trance Identification, self-hypnosis, group hypnosis, and other appropriate applications.
Integrating Hypnosis Into a Practice
This is where hypnosis becomes truly useful for the professional who already has an established way of working.
You'll explore how hypnosis can stand on its own as a professional service, become intentionally integrated into another modality, or contribute useful principles and hypnotic communication to the work you already do.
Becoming a Professional Practitioner
Learn the practical side of offering hypnosis professionally, including session structure, client communication, ethical practice, boundaries, referrals, services, pricing, packages, marketing, business considerations, and creating a professional client experience.
The required curriculum provides broad preparation across the core competencies expected of an IACT-trained practitioner, including ethics, safety, client preparation, outcome specification, inductions, deepening, hypnotic language, change processes, resource work, group and self-hypnosis, behavior change, past-oriented work, pain-management principles, DTI, and basic business practices.
You Start Practicing From the Beginning
You won't spend the first several months listening to lectures while waiting until you're "ready" to actually hypnotize someone.
We begin with a 14-hour Foundations Immersion designed to give you the whole map.
You'll be introduced to the foundations of becoming a hypnotist, creating hypnosis, communicating hypnotically, facilitating change, and beginning to understand how hypnosis can integrate with other professional work.
You won't master all of that in one weekend.
You're not supposed to.
Instead, you'll leave the opening immersion with enough understanding and foundational skill to begin practicing.
From there, practice becomes part of the learning process.
Learn It. See It. Do It. Adapt It. Integrate It.
This is the educational rhythm you'll experience throughout the certification.
LEARN the concept, purpose, principles, and appropriate use of the skill.
SEE it demonstrated in practice.
DO it yourself through exercises, partner work, and supervised practice.
ADAPT it when the person in front of you doesn't behave like the person in the demonstration.
INTEGRATE it into a complete hypnosis session or into the professional work you already do.
IACT's trainer curriculum recommends an experiential balance of information, demonstration, and student exercises rather than relying primarily on lecture. This certification builds upon that foundation by adding deliberate emphasis on adaptation and professional integration.

Hypnosis isn't learned particularly well in boxes.
This certification uses a spiral learning model.
During your weekly Practitioner Skills Studios, you'll continually move among four major working areas:
Creating Hypnosis → Communicating Hypnotically → Facilitating Change → Integrating Hypnosis
Then we'll come around again.
And again.
Each time, you'll add new techniques, new understanding, more complex situations, greater adaptability, and more independence.
What you learned as a beginner becomes something entirely different once you have 30, 60, or 100 hours of experience behind you.
IACT requires 220 total hours of study for certification, including a minimum of 110 hours of live, interactive training plus outside reading, study, practice, relevant education, and other qualifying activities. A three-hour ethics module is also required.
Because this program includes 130 live hours, you have a built-in 20-hour attendance cushion while still having the opportunity to complete the 110 live hours required by IACT.
All classes are recorded and available to you for two years following graduation.
Who Is This Training For?
This certification was created especially for people whose work already involves helping others create change.
That may include coaches, consultants, Gestalt practitioners, wellness professionals, stress-management practitioners, therapists and counselors working within their professional scope, energy and metaphysical practitioners, ministers and spiritual professionals, nutrition and lifestyle professionals, equine-assisted practitioners, educators, retreat leaders, and other helping professionals.
It is also appropriate for students who want hypnosis to become their primary professional service and intend to build a standalone hypnosis practice.
You do not need to arrive knowing exactly how hypnosis will fit into your work.
That's part of what we're going to discover.
The goal isn't to graduate with a binder full of scripts.
It's to graduate able to think like a hypnotist.
Your Certification
Students who successfully complete the educational, attendance, practice, competency, and other applicable certification requirements will complete the professional hypnosis training necessary for IACT certification consideration, along with the Hypnosynchrony training component of the program.
